Most brides are quite hands-on when it comes to their weddings. Being meticulous with every detail is usually the woman’s job. But it is also essential to take some time out and distress because juggling with your job and the wedding preparations can wear you down. It is said that some brides become the grumpiest women alive when things don’t seem right to her on her wedding day. The preparations can also take their toll on her particularly during the last few weeks.

If you have been feeling tired and restless because of the many responsibilities that you have, you need to take a breather and ponder on the things you need to do for yourself for the big day. Actually, being an ideal bride doesn’t start and stop during the wedding alone because your husband-to-be is expecting a wonderful woman he will live for the rest of his life.

Being an ideal bride exudes from the inside and out, which is why it is important that you are relaxed during the final leg of your wedding preparations.

Here are five things that you can do to prepare:

1. Relax and calm yourself

There’s nothing more nerve-wracking than realizing that your single days are over. Of course when you are preparing for a wedding, the bliss is there and yet the nerves will get in your way. If a simple relaxation time at home can’t help, you can go to a salon and pamper yourself with a relaxing massage and aromatherapy.

2. Don’t worry too much

Grooms may worry too, but brides are more vulnerable to stress, worries and breakdowns. It is important that you take a time off once in a while- not just at work but also from all the responsibilities of the wedding preparations. If you hired an organizer, then let her/him do the professional touches to your wedding and just be there as the final say to any important decision.

And don’t forget to eat right. Many women end up losing some weight because of forgotten lunches or they cannot eat because of anxiety. It’s okay to worry but it’s not okay to starve.

3. No bridezillas here

The notion that many brides become bridezillas is that these women become too spoiled or self-absorbed and they only want to be the superstars of their wedding and nothing more. Temper tantrums and unreasonable behavior included, bridezillas are simply the opposite of ideal brides who walk calmly down the aisle with her face beaming and her gait full of confidence.

Your goal during the last weeks of your wedding preparations should be focused on how you can relax and enjoy everything that’s happening. And don’t fret if there will be some imperfections along the way because no wedding is 100% perfect. Always remember the first two steps so you won’t end up becoming a bridezilla.

4. Show your appreciation to your family and friends

Your family and friends will be the happiest people during your wedding day. Their love and support won’t stop just because you’ll start a new life as a married woman. So it is only imperative that you give them back that kind of love through small tokens of appreciation and by exuding happiness during your wedding day. It is important to note that they will be the ones who will feel bad if you feel bad on that day.

5. Thank your husband-to-be

There are so many ways to thank the man who will be waiting for you at the altar. You can reserve that special gift on your wedding night because seeing you beaming with confidence, happiness and readiness for this new life is more than enough to make his heart scream with joy.

Being an ideal bride is a mixture of preparedness and being the woman that you want him to love for eternity. It may be true that there is no perfect wedding or perfect couple, but any flaw that is dealt with love and responsibility can make it close to perfect.
